For a change, I cannot blame the lateness of this post on the Guild of Motor Endurance. They were actually really fast with uploading the (overall) results and pictures, but things have been a bit hectic on my end. Anyhoo...

The girls did quite well in this year's rally, finishing in 2nd place - despite transmission problems - and winning a couple of other trophies as well. Exactly what those other trophies are for, I can't fathom because the audio of the YT vid of the awards is too poor and they haven't put it up on the homepage. *shrugs*

last month, francie took part in a charity bike ride for help for heroes ("a bridge too far"), from london to arhem, holland/the netherlands. when the group arrived they took a moment to honour her father, major robert cain, who won the victoria cross for his efforts in the battle of arhem. (you probably know jeremy made a documentary about that several years ago.)

What's this? margotgrissom is awesome and not only bought me at the help_haiti auction, but bought me for the purpose of making a shiny new layout for this comm? Now that is brilliantly kind.
